- Pour 1⁄2 of each beer into the CanCooker. Place the opened beer cans in bottom of CanCooker and put grate on top of the 4 cans (cans hold the grate off the bottom of the cooker). Place 20 Tamales on the grate. Latch the lid and place on heat source. Once steam begins to vent, keep on heat source for about 30 minutes. Remove from heat using oven mitts and let cool for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes. Tamales are steamed to perfection! Serve with beans and rice.Note: You can increase or decrease the amount of ingredients in this recipe but please make sure to use at least 12 oz. of liquid.
